I just installed Mandrake 10.0 Community Edition on my Gericom Laptop. I chose Kernel 2.4x. I have a problem with getting my PCMCIA WLAN card working. It is a Sitecom WL-011 Vers. 2 (!) which doesn't use the Atmel chipset and therefore won't work with the drivers from Sourceforge. After a little bit of googling I found these drivers: www DOT emota DOT com DOT br/wireless/am1772.html
I tried to follow the instructions in the Readme file, after the make command occured an error, something like: "error unknown processor family"
My Laptop is a 1,7 GHz P4. The website from above is in spanish language, which I can't understand. But I guess there is something said of a bug with some processors. Now my question. Has anyone got this card (vers. 2) to work ? Every help is appreciated.

Did you manage to have your wireless card work in Linux environment? I also have one, and searched many time to found the way to get it work, but found nothing
