Setup whether to suspend-to-RAM or not (Xfce)

Laptop, Ubuntu 5.10, Xfce 4.2.2

When closing the laptop cover, Xfce locks the screen and the desktop session suspends to RAM. That's great so far but optionally, I would like the system to stay running, i.e., in order to run a web server.

Now, the question is, is there any (Gnome) dialog where to choose whether to suspend the system or keep it running? Alternatively, where can I find that related property, so I might change it.

Thank you.

I don't think there is a dialog for it, but if you edit a certain file you can disable it. See here:

*NOTE 6: Suspend to RAM works but you must edit /etc/default/acpi-support and uncomment the line that states : ACPI_SLEEP=true . Then you will find that after a reboot you will be able to use the Fn-F3 key and/or the logout applet to suspend to RAM. To get the lid switch to activate suspend to RAM, edit /etc/acpi/events/lidbtn and change "action=/etc/acpi/lid.sh" to "action=/etc/acpi/sleep.sh"
This says how to enable, you would probably edit lid.sh and put #'s in front of everything so it doesn't do anything.
