Screen Problem on Acer Travelmate

I have an Acer Travelmate 2410-series (2413LCi to be exact).
Been having some trouble with the screen. It only shows 800x600. Haven't found any drivers or anything about how to configure. Any help is appreciated
Have tried googling, asking in forums and calling Acer, all without result. There must be someone out there who knows the answear

I have Fedora Core 4 installed

-------------------------------------------
xorg.conf:

Section "Monitor"
Identifier "Monitor0"
VendorName "Monitor Vendor"
ModelName "Unknown monitor"
HorizSync 31.5 - 37.9
VertRefresh 50.0 - 70.0
Option "dpms"
EndSection

Section "Device"
Identifier "Videocard0"
Driver "vesa"
VendorName "Videocard"
BoardName "Intel bjaffs 1"
EndSection

Section "Screen"
Identifier "Screen0"
Device "Videocard0"
Monitor "Monitor0"
DefaultDepth 16
SubSection "Display"
Viewport 0 0
Depth 16
Modes "800x600" "640x480"
EndSubSection
EndSection

---------------------------------------------------

Have tried to add "1024x768" to Modes. My guess is that Driver "vesa" is wrong.

That uses integrated intel accelerated graphics. Try installing mandriva 2006 which is freely downloadable now. It has specifically included a very recent cvs snapshot of xorg which includes support for intel graphics. I don't know if anyone else has this at the moment. The alternative would be to install a more recent version of xorg on your present install or try downloading and compiling the intel driver from intel's website.

You can get mdv2006 here:

ftp://ftp.nluug.nl/pub/os/Linux/dist...o/2006.0/i586/

I tried it on my acer and it works well. The included xorg driver gave full resolution capability and 3d acceleration.

Is it any other thing you have changed except the xorg.conf? If so you might be able to paste the text in your xorg.conf here?

What does lspci show? Then finding out what video chip is used you can get better driver from fedora or from web that will work with your xorg version(or XF86 version).
