screen doest wakeup after sleep mode

Hello, I have Fedora 11 installed on laptop toshiba satellite a300-20p

If i close down the screen for a while, and open it again the screen will remain black.

I have also windows on the same laptop, and it wakeup fine.


any idea?

Hi Dr D

try changing your settings from hibernation to suspend.
laptops are funny sometimes with hibernation.

goto system\preferences\powermanagement

on the tabs change the option "when laptop lid is closed" to
suspend from hibernate.

do this on both tabs.
