What exactly did you do? Are you connecting through a router, dsl modem, or directly?
it a speedsteam 5100 modem,It not say OK when i boot my linux up.
Is it connected via ethernet or usb (evil)?
ethernet i use a yellow cable for that.
Is the proper ethernet light on on your modem?
Have you run a dhcp client (dhcpcd, dhclient, etc.)? |
The ethernet light is on the modem.i setup the network card but does it have to be 192.168.0.1 and netmask 255.255.255.255 if i am right or do i have t do some thing?
Ok, netmask 255.255.255.255 makes no sense. That's not even a valid netmask. Also, did you set up a default gateway in the routing table?
On my gateway desktop that work with that netmask.I never setup a gateway with sbc before.
