Arrow Saving a soul

Thu Mighty Tux be with all you.

I came to this forum to ask for your wise advise. Here are the facts, my uncle has an old notebook (Not so old actually: four years old only) and viruses attacked it. The world of Microsoft was, as usual, unable to stop the attack, system was corrupted and I, I the one and the only family hacker was designed to save it.

An horrrrroooorfull mistake on the register followed, and Windows was condemned to never boot again. Never-mind: a fresh CD install would bring alive this humble chips packet.

And Murphy come to my help, as the cd was also ill and computer unable to boot from media. So my uncle say, "Trash can is bigger enough?" - YES, absolutelly- I say.

So here I'm trying to save this charrogne by giving its flesh, bones and spirit to TUX. And I would like to install Fedora. But all I've working is USB stuff, Network cart (Mighty TUX) a floppy drive and a comfortable 20G hd.

Any advice on the road to follow to accomplish this duty, no matter how long the procedure would take, will be appreciated.

Tux bless all of you.

With no cd-rom, there are two choices that i would do. Either USB cd-rom ( probable not an option ), or network install. Most distro's have this option, and it is really not that difficult, although a little more time consuming.

Here is a good thread on another forum: http://forums.scotsnewsletter.com/lo...hp/t11616.html

Good luck, and if you have any problems, let us know.
