Salix from unetbootin (usb install) on Asus eeepc 701 sd 4g hdd

Salix is running live from an 8g USB stick on my asus eeepc 701 sd 4g netbook. I created the usb stick using unetbootin for mac, on a mac mini, it works fine but when I try to install and log in with "live" password, the installer screen is longer than the netbook screen, I can't find any way to scroll it down and continue installation. I would like to install to the hdd or usb stick if possible, live boot-up is slow and I heard that sd card-boot is slow too

Is that a typo, you indicated earlier it accepted 'live' so there's no reason it would accept "Live", case sensitive.
I recall similar problems with an Acer notebook. If I changed the window so that it showed a smaller size, I couldn't read it and full screen wouldn't show OK/Cancel etc. Just a guess but, have you tried the down arrow keys, page down?
