rh 9.0 on inspiron 2650c


just finished rh install on my dell inspiron 2650c,didn't install either gnome or kde. don't even have a windows manager yet.problem is whenever i'm in "x" and i try to logout, my laptop locks up.downloaded the latest geforce 2 go drivers from nvidia,Version: 1.0-4349..ran and installed it,but can't figure out how to enter the XF86Config.i tried emacs,vi,...help me please.

Did you try:

vi /etc/X11/XF86Config

I'm assuming you must have some window manager because you mention logout of "x".

If not you may have to run redhat-config-xfree86, I believe I can't remember for sure since I use Mandrake 9.1 now.
