Rescue mode. How do I start up Linux?
The SBR was overwritten when I installed windows. No I want linux back so I put in the first linux cd. I choose rescue mode and by following the guidelines I in the end come to a black screen waiting for me to punch in commands.
it told me to write [chroot /mnt/sysimage] so that I did. I can see my files and everything.
How do I now access the graphical interface so that I can create a startup disk and so that I can install GRUB again?
(I used to write the command "startx" however that does not work anymore)
Thanks,
Paul
