Red Hat in Compaq 2100

I Installed Red Hat 9.0. When I try to start up my computer, xserver can't find my laptop display. It tries to autodetect it, and it can't find it. It autodetects ATI Radeon Mobility U1. I'm not sure if this is correct. Can anyone help? Thanks
