Radeon and Scoll - Error

Hello GentooTom and Welcome to LQ,

I think you'd better describe your problem in a more detailed manner since this is an englischspeaking forum and I don't think that many of the people here are able to read the thread in the german Gentooforum.
Well, I think that your graphicsproblems depend more on the applications, more exactly the libraries which are used. What I would do is comparing the USE-flags of the affected programs i.e. Firefox, Thunderbird and OpenOffice. Which USE-flags are identical for each of this programs? Then I would rebuild one of these with other USE-flags and try out if there's a change.
Another possibility is to boot a LiveCD, for example Ubuntu and look if this issues take place even with another distribution. If not, look at their drivers, kernelversion etc.
