Question on linux and a toshiba notebook

Hello partners!
I'm going to buy a notebook ( Satellite A55-S306) but I have certain doubts cuase the centrino chip and the wifi integrated on it. Will it work on linux. I'm planning to install slackware+win....
Any recomendations you can give meż Is it worth buying a notebook like that?
I tried looking for information, but all the information I found was a little vague.
I'm worried about if the computer will work under linux or it will be a desaster. Any help is hot.
Thanks
alex

I have some doubt about the wifi thing... In fact I doubt it will work, well, unless you want to BUY drivers. Others hardware should be fine I guess, except maybe modem that are always a pain... but who care about modem?

Check this site: http://newsletter.toshiba-tro.de/main/index.html - it should tell you of any issues. I have no problems on my A10.

Intel started a sourceforge project for linux drivers for their centrino, though I can't recall the URL at the time.
