Problems with SpeedStream 1021 wireless card

Hey all,

I'm having problems with my wireless card. I have seen the other threads involving configuring this card, and have followed accordingly, to no avail. I am a VERY novice Linux user, and would like to make the switch permanently, but wireless connectivity is a must.

My problem is that when I insert the card, I hear no beeps like when another card is inserted. I do, however, hear a beep when the card is removed.

This thing is driving me batty!

If its the newer version of this card, Siemens, like many other manufacturers, changed the chipset of their card without changing the model number at all.

/sbin/cardctl ident

And post that back here.

Its most likely a TI card, if it lists ACX100 blah blah blah, then check out:
