Well, here's the story: I wanted to install linux (haven't choose my distro yet) but before doing that I wanted to take windows7 to the factory defaults, that operation should be done with a software called RnR (Rescue and Recovery) wich rescues the image of the operating system from a partition (recovery partition).
When I press F11 (or ThinkVantage blue button [same function]) it takes me to the pre boot software where there are tools to rollback or put the system like "out of the box", well... when I try to use the option "factory defaults" it throws this error: "The product recovery function has been removed from this system". However I know that factory partitions have not been modified, here's the proof:
I know this is not a real question about linux, but hope you guys can help me with this.
NOTE: I didn't resized nor deleted any partitions and haven't touched this computer with linux (except for the gparted only to WATCH the partitions)
I'm giving all this information because I have been googling (is that the correct way to say it?) and have found that many people has similar problems and they are told to use recovery CD or many more not-useful information. There are also stupid persons who deleted the recovery partition and wanted to use it -.-
There are no more recovery cds since recovery is installed already to the HD just to enter the option (pressing F11 or something) before the system boots, but mine is not working... can you help me?
