problems installing suse 9.0 on sony vaio pcg-r505gck laptop
Here is the deal, this laptop comes with no cd drive or floppy disk. So I had to buy a seperate docking station with a cd rom. Unforunately, I think, this docking station uses fire wire chipset for communication between the laptop and various peripherals on it. In any case, with help of a book disk, i got the installation going. The inital screen showed up but the size of the screen was very small although the resolution seemed to be normal. What I mean by this is that the installation screen did not fit the actual screen size but all the text and images still looked fine. I thought that this might be an artifact of the installation procedure. Turns out that even after installation, when i started up linux in x-windows mode, the size remained the same. I am not sure what the problem is and what to do. Help!!!
