Problem upgrading X11 6.7 to 6.8.2 with intel i810
when i upgrade Xorg 6.7 to 6.8.2 version
My computer can't use direct rendering.
I've installed on my pc intel official drivers and slackware
10.2 (clearly without xorg 6.8.2).
My computer is a Dell C400 laptop
Follow i write my xorg and my lsmod (when running xorg)
and installing them. These represent that latest development versions of the i810 drivers, including DRI. I had to do something similar (except in my case it was i915) in order to get both 1400x1050 and DRI working on my Dell Latitude D610.
So, i compiled and installed those modules but Directed rendering is switched off.
I read my lsmod output and when xorg is already started i810
is not running.
