Problem Installing Fedora Core 3 on virtual machine

hi friends.
I am Nisha.
I tried installing fedora core 3 on the virtual PC 2004. The base OS I am using for my sys is xp professional. I have a 1GB RAM.
When I try to install FC3 on Virtual PC, it boots from the CD and when I press enter for installation, I get a kernel panic error

kernel panic : not syncg: tried to kill idle process

i am unable to fix this and install FC3.
Can someone please tell me what I am supposed to so
