Unhappy Pointing stick stops working with Synaptics touchpad driver!

Hi all,

I have a problem...

I am using SUSE 9.0 on a Dell Latitude C600. When I use the toutchpad as a genaric mouse, it and the pointing stick work fine. However, when I use the synaptics touchpad driver, the pointing stick stops working!

Looking at /etc/gpm/syn.conf, I see the line:

Code:
[stick_enabled] TRUE
So it seems as if it is enabled, but still not working. Is there a way to fix this problem?

Thanks,
Matthew
