Please help me to fix the screen resolution problem in dell inspiron E1505
Hi,
I have installed Fedora 5 in Dell inspiron E1505 duo core laptop. The video card is ATI MOBILITY™ RADEON® X1400 HyperMemory™ and LCD size is 15.4". The maximum resolution is
1680 X 1050. However, in Administration->Display->Hardware, it says "ATI Technologies Inc Unknown device 7145" even after configuration. The "hwbrowser" command does not show video card.
I fixed the resolution to 1680 X 1050 in Administration->Display->Settings. There is another place also to fix the screen resolution: at Preferences->Screen Resolution. But the maximum value here is only 1400 X 1050. I fixed to this value.
The problem is:
The image is streched along horizontal direction so that circle looks like an ellipse.
Here is xorg.conf file.

I installed the latest driver from ATI site but that showed some weird behavior so I uninstalled it.
Could you please help me to fix this horizontal streching problem. I appreciate your help.
Thanks.
