PIDGIN over HTTP on eeepc

Hi all,

I am using PIDGIN for my instant messaging and I most often than not I have to connect behind firewalls. I was wondering if there was any possibilities to be running PIDGIN on HTTP ? I thought that would be the best way for me to connect behind firewalls but if there is another way or better way I am all ears

Thank you all for your help

Riganta

actually proxy is not gonna work for me. To be more precise, most of the places I would connect to allow only HTTP traffic and would block proxies.

Try using meebo. Or the webmessenger that both Yahoo and MSN have.

Strangely enough I do connect with aim fine but not with msn. Would PIDGIN not connect through port 80 only ? Adium is capable of doing it. Meebo is as well, but I would rather use PIDGIN.
