Picking a distro for an embbeded X86 system
I have a probelm I hope you could help me with.
I'm building a PDA-like device with a 486based motherboard.
It has the specs of a computer form 1994, but for a simple PDA/Phone combo it's not bad.
TO be more specific the specs are:
128MB Flash Disk (Could use a 64 if I can fit a distro& mp3's in there :>)
(don't no the size) Black & white LCD screen
Sound with a AC97 based card
A Small keyboard
Since I probably won't be using a standard keyboard I'll need to do something about findong a good PDA keyboard.
So what do you think?
The distro has to be fast and EXTREAMLY lite to run on a 486. I would settle for a Text based distro with animations (kinda like an older cellphone) if I could design the interface easily. Still, graphical would be better but on a B&W screen it can be too detailed.
Hope to hear from you,
