Performance very slow if booting Lupu511 from a CFCard in a Sony VAIO VGN AR250G

What are the possible reasons/solutions for this laptop responding so slowly when I boot from the card?

I think Lupu (as well as other puppies) run from RAM when not Permanently installed in a fixed medium & this's why I don't get it. The same machine, same RAM. Does it's accessing constantly the card? Can I fix it at boot time with pfix=ram?

Thanks in advance!

PS. I'm using right now PL431. Its behavior, browser & other things are superior to Lupu511, although the fact that the latter found & configured my WiFi automatically the 1st time I booted it blinded me, now I'm considering that, unless certain things are repaired/substituted/added to Lupu511, I'm going to stick to this distro because (for me) its overall performance is still superior to others!

For ex., until Midori web browser can't connect to secured sites it won't make it for me.
