I have a Dell Axim X50v http://www1.us.dell.com/content/prod...=19&l=en&s=dhs
Although currently runnin PocketPC2003, I am looking to install Linux on it, but I do not know of any good distros for PDAs. Note: I also have a 1gb CF card

We are working on the port, however it is slow going since Dell does not release the needed information.
It will probably be some time before it is to a usable state. We are always looking for people who can help us out. Right now there are two or three of us actively trying to get it moving. Once we get a booting kernel, things should pick up a little more.
Until then, pray for us or give us a hand, whichever is your style =]
And then....

We have the kernel booting, and the SD card slot works. Framebuffer on both x50 and x50v are working, though the x50v framebuffer is not accelerated and is not the "final driver" version; if you didn't boot linux from wince, the lcd would not be enabled. We're currently working on a USB serial and ethernet driver that would allow you to get a console over the usb cable, so that those who do not have a serial cable can help.
I'll post more info on this thread when we get a little further. it's slow going, but we'll get there.
