Smile OS Fee Laptop

Hi Guys,
I want to know if there is a company that sells new laptops with either linux installed or the computer comes with no os system installed. I am trying to buy a cheap new laptop. I figured since MS OS system cost too much I would find a company that sells blank laptops and install free linux or something like this. Thanks for all the help.

Its been my experience that the only easy way to get a >current< laptop without Windoez is to get it custom made.

I've been looking around for the same kind of thing for 6 months.

For what it's worth I came across this recently, and some of the vendors listed do appear to have nice windows free machines:

You don't say where you live, but guessing that you are in the USA, try http://www.emperorlinux.com/

Being a Brit I have no experience of them - I happened to come across their ad in a Linux magazine.

For fellow-Brits who might have the same question, try
http://www.linuxemporium.co.uk/ . They sell IBMs with your choice of distro. But, there is another company:
http://www.laptopshop.co.uk/ , who are selling the same IBMs, but with Windows, cheaper. You might want to shop around bussandtech. You might find that Windows pre-loaded machines are cheaper where you live. That's the nature of the market.
