openoffice redhat 9

My fresh install of Redhat 9 does not let me run Openoffice.org Anyone know how I can get this running? When I click it the machine spins up the hard drive like it is going to start the application, however eventualy nothing happens and it is as if I never even clicked the openoffice.org icon.

Advice???

"Advice???"

See if you can get a meaningful error message by opening a terminal and starting Open Office from the command line. You can find out what command you are using to start Open Office by right clicking on the icon and selecting properties. On my machine I start soffice.
