Omnibook 6000 128meg ram p3 running about 600mgh what distro?

It's old but in good condition even the battery holds a decent charge. It's a joke running XP, actually running is a lie crawling slowly would be closer. I'll be adding 256mg ram in the next few days.

I know I'd need a lightweight distro but which one? I want wireless and open office.

Suggestions much appreciated.

OK
well, I run CrunchBang-Lite 9.04 on my old Toshiba 7000CT Portege. 160MB ram, 4Gb HDD

so, if your getting more than 128 ram then thats OK

But, since your gettin more ram and you didnt sat hdd size?

Hers my right-now list for 128MB ram

tinycore-2.?
Slackware/Ubuntu/Debian minimal install + fluxbox/openbox or LXDE
Vector lite
SalixOS

if adding 256mb more ram then almost any distro...
which are you most comfy with; ubuntu, slack, etc?

I'm adding 256 and if I'm lucky both sticks will get on together and I'll have 384meg, the hard drive is a measly 12gig. But them I'm typing this on a Dell mini9 with a 12gig ssd drive and it's fine

I've been making scripts lately to make a custom minimal ubuntu 9.10 with openbox wm
still testing it but it works and you just grab ubuntu-mini-remix-9.10
http://www.crealabs.it/ubuntu-mini-remix/

and then you edit the script for what pkgs/desktop you want
and it makes a new iso thats installable

I also am working on one for gnome base ubuntu 9.10 iso too
