Old Latitude: How do I install Linux without CDROM?

I have an old Dell LS Series PP01S with Pentium-3. It is about 6yrs old. It doesn't have an onboard CDROM or Floppy Drive. It has only one USB port. Plus many SCSI ports, some of the old no longer used ports. How can I install Kubuntu or some other OS?

This laptop is so compact that it uses external CDR/RW and Floppy drives. Both of which are lost.

Thanks

I have old pc's also. I do not know how you install kubuntu, however, I can tell you that slackware (and suse too) can be installed from a bootable floppy that gives you the option to install over your home/office lan network using an "nfs" (e.g. network file share) installation.

If your pc is old you may want to go with slackware.

Also you can install debian from a net install cd, I'm not sure if they offer a floppy net installer tho.

http://marc.herbert.free.fr/linux/win2linstall.html -- this one is based on a freedos or windows already installed
http://en.opensuse.org/Installation_without_CD -- you might be able to modify this to your preferred distro

Or if it is ethernet bootable, you might be able to PXE boot and install from another machine.
