old fujitsu lifebook notebook to server

i have a really old laptop with an pentium 223 mhz and 32 MB ram. i know it's not the most appropriate for a server but i just want to give it some use. i would like to make some kind of nas/file server and possibly access to it from other computers through ssh in internet and still learn cmd line. the only way to connect the computer to the network is via a wireless adapter linksys wpc54g (pcmcia). how do i configure it?

using ubuntu 6.06
(you can suggest another ditro if you prefer)

The classic server OS is Debian. It would be the best to learn on, and it'll go great with older hardware. Id use the net install iso. Only install exactly what you need. No X. It will be difficult to even install ubuntu on a machine that old.

Sounds like fun...
