Not waking from second suspend

Hi, I'm having a problem with my laptop (Gateway Solo 3350) waking from suspend the second time. The first time the computer suspends it wakes up fine, but after waking up and suspending for the second time it refuses to wake up again. This is reproducible 100% of the time.

I'm running the latest 2.6 Debian kernel, although I've tried the 2.4 without any luck. So I'm wondering where do I start with a problem like this? As far as I can tell nothing is being logged that would indicate a problem with power management. Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
