"noise" from mouse/web gfx and hdd (dell c600)

Hi

My system is a Dell Latitude C600, running Slackware 10.
Using Alsa, but not ATI gfx drivers. (no difference if I did)

My problem is a "lighter" noise when I move the mouse, or the hdd is working or any movement on the screen (website gfx flashing or moving).

Anyone got a tip on how to get rid of this noise?
The "lighter" sound I think of when I'll try to describe it, is the one when you're just rolling the wheel on your lighter.
On web pages it's not always there, but with lots of gfx, like flash or animation, it's there.
Even if the sound is muted. My mic. is muted also. (don't have any, but the input port is muted)

Thank you for your time.
