New laptop, help!
I'm about to purchase a laptop, finally!
These are the specs:
Asus L3196M
CPU: Athlon mobile 2400+
BiOS: Award 256kb. plug 'n play
graphics card: Integrated S/S740 ultra AGP 2x
PCMCIA: cardbus controller Ricoh RSC552
hdd; 40gb
Audio: sound blaster compatible.
Power management: ACPI 1.0 stand-by and suspend to disk/ suspend to RAM
Now my question is will i have any compatibility problems with Linux?
The thing i'm mostly concerned about is the graphics card. I'm interested in knowing if DRI will work so i can play 3d games?
Other things seem to be compatible.
I have serached all over for this info on linux laptops.net and through google, and didnt find much, so please let me know if you know of any problems with this laptop before i purchase it.
