Angry Network connections do not work on Dell running Ubuntu

[Log in to get rid of this advertisement]
I just installed Ubuntu 9.04 on my Dell E1505. The OS recognizes the devices and detects my wireless network but is showing my wireless and wired connections as diabled. How do I enable them? I went into my BIOS and chose enable but they are still disabled. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Is the on/off switch on the laptop for wireless turned off by chance?

The little green light with 'wifi' written on it is lit so I'm assuming it's turned on. But, when I go into the BIOS the wireless is showing disabled and when I enable it in there the green light goes out.

Both ways Linux is showing it as disabled when I do 'sudo lshw -C Network'

EDIT: I should add there is no physical on/off switch on this Dell.

What happens when you push Fn+F2 (Function Key + Wireless Key which should be on F2)? Does the light go out/turn on. Does it enable it in the Ubuntu?
