This is not nearly as good a deal as people think on first glance.
Unlike the EeePC or any of the other current netbooks, that is not a standard x86 computer. It is an MIPS-based proprietary system, much like a PDA. You can't install your own software on it (in theory you could cross-compile software for MIPS, but that has it's own logistical problems) and it runs the 2.4 kernel, so hardware support is minimal at best.
This is more of a toy than a real laptop. It might be a good choice to give a child, but for anything else you would be better off spending a couple hundred more and getting an Eee.
