need ur urgennt reply


i installed mandrake linux 8.0 on my ibm thinkpad laptop that is running on winxp. the installation went on fine. but after everything i tried to run the linux it gave an error message which is "Kernel panic Attempt to kill init!". is there anyway i could rectify it
