I've just upgraded to FC3 with kernel 2.6.10 on my Dell Inspirion 4100. This system is set up to use ACPI for power management, but the included configuration for acpid is ridiculously minimal - it includes a soft shutdown on pressing the power button and nothing else; in particular, no handling of closing the lid. I've had little success finding other acpid configurations on the web, and the one I tried using seemed to be completely ignored (probably because it was written for a different distribution and I didn't know what changes to make). Can anyone point me to a good configuration, or better yet, a web page that describes how to set one up?

A related problem is that currently, when I close the lid, the screen turns off and doesn't turn back on. I'm assuming that if acpid is configured to do something normal when the lid is shut, this problem will go away.
