Ndiswrapper problem
Ok, i have a Toshiba satellite L505D-S5965. I try to install the wireless card driver through Ndiswrapper and it seems to work fine. There are no errors after installation and Ndiswrapper says the device is present, but there is still no wlan0. Help would be greatly appreciated.

Ok, in regards to ndiswrapper, the module is not loading. You can load it with
Code:
su -c 'modprobe ndiswrapper'
To load it at boot, you need to add it to
/etc/modules .
Code:
su -
echo ndiswrapper >> /etc/modules
exit
There is also an experimental native linux driver for this card, the RTL8187SE. Using that would require installing a newer kernel, however. Instructions are
here if you want to go that route.

Different Ndiswrapper problem
Hello,
I'm Jerry I am running openSuSe 11.2 64 bit on an Aspire 5536 my problem is that when I attempt to install any wireless adapters win-driver with ndiswrapper it says it can't find ..the model section or the install section and then says the installation is incomplete. I then check with ndiswrapper -l and it says invalid driver..this has happened with 3 different adapters..one internal and two externals
Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions.

Do you have all of the files in the directory when you install the inf? I believe you need the inf, cat, and sys.
