Any chance of running linux with an X server on this rig with performance?? I'm totally new to this stuff, so I'm not too sure what sort of development is going on with these HPCs. Please let me know!

I have a Netgear MA521 802.11b wireless NIC that I think is based off a Realtek chipset, any chance of having that thing run in it? I also have a good ol FA410TX 10/100 NIC which I think is based off the NE2000 chipset I think, how does that sound? In lin or win of coarse

Oooohhh, and I also have a CNF Cardport 20x PCMCIA CD-ROM! Any hope of that?

Anything that I ought to do to the hardware or software right after I get it? I think I'm going to go to kinkos and get a little piece of vinyl to cover the screen so I don't scratch it up pokin it with the stylus.
