I do not have a cd drive or an external cd drive. I cannot install it with unetbootin from the root system? Unetbootin did not allow me to choose any other mount point.

unetbootin is for installing to a usb drive. you have to decide the correct drive! That will never be your own primary hard disk.

Please take a look at this: http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...on-usb-723017/, there is a post regarding unetbootin for your situation. You install ubuntu to a usb disk, then use the usb disk to install ubuntu. |
