Moving Grub to the MBR

Hello friends, my laptop has winme and RH8 on a dual boot system. What I would like to do is to move my boot loader to the MBR, since WinMe loads by default and in order to boot linux I use a boot disk. I tired of using a floppy in order to boot linux. I already tried to edit the /etc/grub.conf, but my laptop still boots into WinMe. What do I have to do in order to make this work?

Thank friends
