mouse problem with hp pavilion series

help,i have linux redhat on my hp pavilion series laptop but when i try to load oracle 10g on it, it takes forever, also the cursor starts moving about crazily, my laptop is a amd turion 64, 80GB HDD and 1G RAM, pls how do i overcome this prolem, i have windows xp on a partition there and it doesn't give me any problems with the xp

please tell:
$ uname -a

Mot likely with Redhat you will be running a OLD kernel/applications that might not support NEWER hardware like your laptop. The best solution is to reinstall something like Ubuntu / Fedora / SUSE which are newer.
(If you dont have a broadband Ubuntu can FREELY send you CD of distro)

i have installede fedora core and the mouse problem is solved, but i still can't install oracle 10g, does fedora supports oracle 10g, if it doesn't which linux distribution does, if it does how do i solve d problem
