Mint: Switch Gnome / KDE

Hi!
Because I've a big problem with Mint 9 KDE ->
www.linuxquestions.org/questions/linux-mint-84/mint-9-kde-no-internet-with-ethernet-eth0-843625/
I installed Mint 10 Gnome RC. Later on, after the release of Julia KDE, I would like to install KDE
(on the same root-partition as Mint 10 Gnome) to choose after booting Mint 10 Gnome or KDE.
How to do this?
I have multiboot and for each linux root- and home-partition. Root-Mint 10: 4 GB used of 8 GB.

I haven't used Mint, but I have both KDE and Gnome on my Ubuntu computers, because I find a number of KDE apps to be superior to their Gnome equivalents.

Use Synaptic to download KDE.

Then KDE should appear in the "Sessions" dialog at log in.

There may be a way to change a Gnome session to a KDE session once you are logged in, but I don't know of it and, since Gnome and KDE depend on different libraries, I suspect it may not be possible.
