I have an Aspire one running on Linpus Lite. I have tried to play videos from my phone but they don't work. Is it possible to install Quicktime, or is there some other way round this? I hope someone can help because I'm tearing my hair out with my netbook at the moment. Thanks

Have you tried using VLC or RealPlayer?

When I try to download Realplayer I get a message saying it's 'not found on this server' and I've tried to download and install the other one with no success. Could you possibly give me instructions for vcl? I've tried following the 'ten tweaks' info but I haven't got a clue what I'm doing...it's not as easy as windows. Help me please

Thanks for the advice but unfortunately it just says 'Install applications as you would in any Linux based OS' and I have no idea how to do that.

After the main section on the page there is another section titled: All Steps, Add Apps to the Acer Aspire One. Follow those steps from 1 through to 5. At the end of the process you will have 'unleashed' the package manager. With the package manager available, adding extra apps is a breeze.
