Mapping Multimedia keys (play/pause/etc) on normal keyboard using shortcuts

Hi all,
I recently switched from a multimedia keyboard to a Unicomp Endurapro, which doesn't come with the multimedia keys. But years of multimedia key usage has spoiled me and now I want to assign shortcuts on my keyboard that'll simply emulate the multimedia keys. I am looking for the following keys:
a) Play/Pause
b) Stop
c) Next &
d) Previous

I have assigned the Volume +/- using the following command: 'amixer set Master 10%+' (or - for down). I use the Windows key along with some other key to perform the action.

So can anyone suggest the other commands that I can assign shortcuts to? I am using Ubuntu 11.04 (Banshee) and Slackware 13.37 (Amarok).

Thanks guys!

KvK

Lightbulb

Solved!!

Some of the commands are:
banshee --play
banshee --toggle-playing
banshee --stop
banshee --next
banshee --previous

more found using banshee --help!!

I'm expecting something similar should work for slack as well

Thanks!
