Macbook 2,1 Won't Boot After Arch Install

I followed the installation directions for Arch Linux and when I reboot my computer, the Macbook doesn't recognize the Hard Drive as Bootable. I am able to chroot into the environment, so I know that the Operating System exists. How do I fix this?

Install a bootloader?

Sorry, I just cant pass this up. I don't use Arch, and I've never owned a Macbook, but on more than one occasion, when installing Linux, I have failed to install a bootloader.

Hi,

You probably need a boot manager. Check this out: http://www.rodsbooks.com/refind/

Since chroot works, you could potentially chroot into Arch and install refind, then install the bootloader.

I am currently writing a SlackDoc about this (https://docs.slackware.com/howtos:sl...d_on_slackware). Unfortunately, I haven't completed it yet. I have reached the configuration part. But you can check out Rod Smith's page in the meanwhile. I'll see if I can write the configuration part in the coming days.

All the best.
