Linux on Toshiba Satellite U405D

hello..
I am planning to buy a Toshiba Satellite U405D-S2848..
I wanted to know which flavour of linux should i use on this machine ?
I am conversant with linux and have both fedora and ubuntu till date.
On the ubuntuforums.org website there is one report of ubuntu 8.04 working well with the toshiba satellite U400 but a problem with the network card on the U405D-s2830. Now this model has the intel pro wireless network card where as the one i am planning to buy has the atheros wireless card.
Would fedora 9 work well for this configuration ? I would like to keep the preinstalled windows installed as well..
please any suggestions are more than welcome..
looktowhere..

Creating a dual boot between windows Xp or vista is for the most linux distro not such a big deal .
Of course you neat know how to do it , so if you have decided with LInux distro you are going to use ask for advice again.
Because the way differs a bit from distro to distro
Just in case it goes wrong do you have the windows install CD or DVD ?
And of course always make backup of the system before doing any thing .
Most distros has on their website information about the supported hardware.

all the best
