Linux on my Mac Mini?

Hello, i heard someone here got Linux on a MBP, and I know a Mac Mini isnt portable, but it fits in my Hand. So I was wondering how I can get Linux on my Mini-Not Gentoo, too hard to get xwindows-.

why not gentoo? is it a ppc or intel mac-mini?

It is a Intel, sorry for not saying that. Um I tried Gentoo on my PC and I could not get Xwindows.

I've had very good luck with gentoo on all my pcs and macs (though I don't have an intel mac just a g3 & a g4). I would be glad to give you help with anything that comes up along the way if you try gentoo (including X).

But the thing is does gentoo have EFI?

Apparently support for intel's Extensible Firmware Interface is provided by the elilo bootloader. so it isn't specific to any distro. but yes gentoo has it:

Code:

*  sys-boot/elilo [ Masked ]
      Latest version available: 3.6_p20060314
      Latest version installed: [ Not Installed ]
      Size of files: 179 kB
      Homepage:      http://elilo.sourceforge.net/
      Description:  Linux boot loader for EFI-based systems such as IA-64
      License:      GPL-2

but it's masked for me 'cause I have a ppc not an intel.
