Linux on HP Envy m6-1106er
I want to buy this laptop (HP Envy m6-1106er), but i have some doubts about running linux on it.
Does the combined graphics (a10-4600m(7660G) + Radeon HD 7670M) works flawlessly with proprietary driver?
Does this motherboard (AMD A70 FCH) supports IOMMU? (can i switch on/off virtualization in bios)
Any information will be appreciated. :)

This has all just been had out at length
Got To Replace - With What?
Look particularly at the early posts from cascade9
Amd have some primitive control of dual graphics in their binary blob, but really X is a year or two behind with the X server, and Wayland isn't nearly ready.
Just noticed the second half of that question - IOMMU
I have AMD here, and I had IOMMU errors 2008-2011. The kernel would say
"The aperture is set over 4G - that's ridiculous. Ignoring that
Making an aperture at 2G because I can't find one
<Lengthy rant about IOMMU, BIOS, and how this was costing ram>"
I think the kernel caught up. Or else my BIOS caught up. Or both. If an AMD cpu with an AMD chipset won't do IOMMU, the designer should be taken out and shot.
:D Thanks for your answer :)
Finally got this laptop (envy m6-1106 er)
Fedora 18 just booted smoothly (kernel 3.6.6). IOMMU works and kernel recognized it. (i have this setting in BIOS)
There were problems booting it with older kernels.
I'll post here my progress.
