Linux on Asus U6 or U3 series

Has anyone tried installing Linux on Asusu U6 or U3 series laptops ? Did anyone face problems with it.

I'm planning on getting either of those laptops and install Slackware on it. Any comments or pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Hop over to http://www.linux-laptop.net/. There are a few examples of successes on the Asus platform.

There is one about Slack 11 on a U5. May not be useful for your situation. Google doesn't list much either. How about just trying it and letting the rest of us know how it goes?

Note that you can check the ASUS forums to see how others have fared with Linux on these products; for example this post for a U3S.
