Linux Mint 10 on Asus K52J freezes sometimes

hello,

I've installed Linux Mint 10 on Asus-K52J laptop.
Everything works fine except sometimes, the system freezes for 20 seconds and unfreezes.

Here dmesg after the freeze.

Seems to me that your computer has problems with the harddisk. I would recommend to test the disk with the tool from the disk-manufacturer. If you don't know the manufacturer I would recommend the Hitachi Drive Fitness Test, it will test drives from all manufacturers. Burn it as an ISO-image and boot from it. I would recommend the Advanced test.

That should also work, I just personally trust the tools from the manufacturers a little bit more (don't know why, just personal preference).
