Cool Linux Alternative to ActiveSync

I am looking for a Linux equiv of MS ActiveSync. Does anyone know of any?

I'm aware of SynCE which appears to have stopped development. If there isn't any around, can wine be used to run ActiveSync or will there be hardware port problems/usb controller related.

Don't think Wine would be a good idea, as this will be running on a production desktop and don't really want to start using emulation!

Cheers.

Once I get Wine installed, I'll be testing it out, and if no one has replied, I'll let you know how it went.
